Manhattan Project
BETA VERSION, UNBALANCED GAMEPLAY The downloadable desktop version does not include the scientist statistics panel and the team panel. Full version with the latest mechanics available in the web version.
Manhattan Project is a turn-based strategy and management game where you take command of one of the most secretive scientific programs of World War II.
Your task is not only to build an atomic bomb. You must create the entire system behind it: laboratories, enrichment plants, reactors, logistics, security structures, political support, and a research program capable of reaching the finish line before time, money, or secrecy runs out.
Choose whether to focus on the uranium path, the plutonium path, or maintain a politically safer dual-track program. Assign scientists and security personnel, expand key facilities, manage morale, respond to random events, and make strategic decisions that shape the direction of the project.
Every turn represents a week of wartime pressure. Progress is never free: faster research may increase costs, secrecy risks, political tension, or personnel strain.
Core Gameplay
- Manage a secret wartime research program turn by turn.
- Develop a technology tree inspired by grand strategy games.
- Choose between uranium and plutonium development paths.
- Build and upgrade facilities such as Oak Ridge, Los Alamos, Hanford, Y-12, and Wendover.
- Assign scientists and security personnel to research and locations.
- Balance budget, uranium, plutonium, electricity, political support, secrecy, morale, and espionage risk.
- Make strategic decisions about research policy, salaries, security, and political oversight.
- React to historical and semi-historical events that can help or disrupt the project.
- Complete the program before the deadline, political collapse, financial failure, or secrecy loss.
